Solar Pump System Energy Saving Solution
Its structure is composed of three parts: power supply (solar module), power control (inverter) and output (pump/motor).
The source of electricity will not be restricted by the distribution of the regional power grid, and there will be electricity wherever there is sunlight, so that the agriculture and fishery industry can get rid of the restrictions of the power grid. It can also reduce the reliance on fuel generators to reduce the use of fuel.
2. Multiple applications
Solar water pump is a kind of renewable energy drive device, which can be used in various industries such as agriculture and forestry irrigation, livestock water supply, aquaculture, livelihood& entertainment, and water treatment projects.
3. Built-in MPPT maximum power point tracking
Provide complete protection and switching functions. When the solar energy decelerates rapidly due to the influence of shelters, the inverter will reduce the load automatically to avoid frequent shutdown and startup. An Auto-Switch Module(ATS) can be installed, and the inverter will automatically detect solar energy. For power generation, when the sunshine is insufficient, the ATS is put into the mains power supply to make up for the power, at the same time, the solar power is also continuously used.
4. Low maintenance requirement
The Solar Pump system only requires regular checkup and cleaning of the solar panels.
(The traditional method: most of them use generators as the power source to drive the motor equipment, which may seem convenient, but it requires regular maintenance and replacement of consumables, and the operation efficiency is low. In addition, it is accompanied by pollution and noise.)
5. Energy efficient
Integrating solar power generation and motor drive into one, the system structure is simple, eliminating the conversion loss (10~30%) of PV Inverter or energy storage system and battery. Using the power of solar panels directly to operate the motor, with better efficiency.
Example
1. ATS power switch: When the sunshine is not enough, the ATS can be used for utility power to ensure that the pump can run at all times.
2. Vmp voltage should be ≧ motor rated voltage, calculated by Vmpp 41.4V:
(380x1.414) ÷ 41.4=12.97, that is, at least 13 groups in series.
3. Make sure that the solar power has at least 30% of the remaining margin.
450x13=5850W, 5850W is greater than 3700W, it will be 158% power.
4. A solar panel open circuit voltage is 49.2V, inverter DC voltage maximum DC800V:
800÷49.2≒16.2, that the series connection cannot exceed 16 groups.
If the estimated water consumption is about 19,000 liters per day and the pumping motor is 3HP (2.24KW), the daily electricity consumption is about 3.55 kW. In the ideal energy-saving situation, the solar panel is used to supply electricity, which can save 1,295 kWh per year and reduce 0.66 tons of CO2 emissions.
Estimated daily pump running time: 19,000 liters ÷ 200 liters/min = 95 minutes
Estimated daily electricity consumption: 2.24KW x 95 minutes ÷ 60 = 3.547 kWh
Estimated annual electricity savings: 3.547 x 365 days = 1,295 kWh
